Arrival

On arrival, you and your guests are warmly welcomed by our experienced team. We make sure everything is arranged down to the last detail, so all you have to do is enjoy. While the candles burn and a refreshing water tap stands ready, we guide the wedding suppliers and agree the schedule with the master of ceremonies. That way your day runs effortlessly and perfectly.

Would you like to escape the bustle for a while? In the bridal suite you can get ready, share a moment together before the ceremony, freshen up or relax in between.

Ceremony

Say “I do” on our beautiful island or in our atmospheric indoor venue. We work with a specialist decoration team that dresses the entire ceremony professionally.

Dreaming of an outdoor ceremony? Our idyllic little island has room for 80 seated guests, surrounded by nature in an intimate atmosphere.

Should the weather not cooperate, you can count on our warm and atmospheric indoor venue. It has room for 60 seated guests. There is also plenty of standing room, so that everyone can share in your special day.

We are a licensed wedding venue, so you can officially tie the knot here.

The Barn

3-course dinner

Imagine: an elegant dinner where everything is taken care of down to the last detail. Take your seat at a beautifully laid table, softly lit by candles and surrounded by lovely floral arrangements that create the perfect ambience. Ideal for couples who love a stylish and intimate atmosphere.

During our sit-down dinner you can sit back and enjoy dishes such as a flavourful carpaccio to start, followed by a tender steak or salmon smoked over oak. To finish, a delicious dessert that rounds off the meal perfectly.

You can choose one of the menus carefully composed by our chef. In advance, the couple and the guests can pass on their favourite dishes and a seating plan is made, so that everyone can enjoy this special day without a care.

If you wish, the dinner can be extended with an intermezzo or a sorbet, for an extra refined 4- or 5-course experience.

The name says it all: during dinner the guests move around freely and the couple can easily chat with every guest. A walking dinner consists of five small courses, carefully composed by the chef. Every course is served and handed out by our team. Think homemade soups, quality fish dishes and tender meat. And of course there is always a sweet finish.

The tap is filled once with a cocktail of your choice: Mojito (Original/Strawberry/Passionfruit), Aperol Spritz, Limoncello Spritz, Sex on the Beach, Gin Tonic (Original / Pink Gin Tonic), Mai Tai or Moscow Mule. By arrangement, the tap can often be refilled on the evening itself.

Capacity
The hall has room for 150 to 200 people: 150 people with a band & 200 people with a DJ.
Toilets
There are toilets in the hall: gents’, ladies’ and an accessible toilet.
Cloakroom
We have our own cloakroom by the hall.
Smoking
Smokers can smoke in front of the stable entrance. All our terraces are smoke-free. Smoking in the stables is strictly prohibited.
Private room
A separate room can be hired for the day, where you can retreat, change and/or freshen up in between.
Decoration
We have a standing partnership with Met Liefde Geregeld and Floral Dreams for the decoration. They take care of dressing your wedding professionally and with great care.
Decorating yourselves or hiring another styling team is not possible.

Can we celebrate our entire wedding with you?

Yes, certainly. We are an official wedding venue, so the ceremony, drinks, dinner and party can all four take place here. That way no time is lost travelling.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

Right up to the morning of your wedding you can still decide whether to marry outdoors or indoors. That way we stay flexible and you always have a warm, cosy alternative.

How does Het Ruiterhuys make sure our day runs smoothly?

As a couple you have one fixed point of contact while planning. On the day itself, our team of wedding & event planners is ready, so you can spend your time with your guests rather than with the planning.

Do you work with regular wedding suppliers?

Over the years we have met dozens of wedding suppliers. We have a regular styling team and are happy to recommend photographers, cake makers, registrars and more.

Can you cater for specific dietary requirements?

Certainly. We ask in advance whether there are any dietary requirements and how many, so that you don’t face any surprises.

May we decorate ourselves or bring our own stylist?

We have a standing partnership with Met Liefde Geregeld and Floral Dreams for the decoration. They take care of dressing your wedding professionally and with great care. Decorating yourselves or hiring another styling team is not possible.

Candy Table

A delicious sweet addition to your wedding day is the Candy Table. The candy table is a treat for young and old, a sweet oasis full of colour and cheer. The glass jars filled with sweets, marshmallows and boiled sweets invite you to scoop up your own bag full of happiness.

It is not only delicious but also a real eye-catcher that instantly brings a smile. For many, a table full of sweets brings back childhood memories. Children love it, but adults also like to wander past for a “sneaky” sweet.

It is not permitted to bring this yourselves.
