Het Ruiterhuys

Celebrateon the estate.

Two characterful rooms for small and large parties alike.

The bride and groom sit hand in hand on a wooden bench beneath the fully dressed arbour: she in a lace ball gown with a long veil fanning out across the platform, he in a burgundy three-piece suit. Cream drapery under the roof, arrangements on the beams, pampas grass on white plinths and lanterns with candles on the ground.

Wedding

Your most beautiful day in the old riding school.

A party in the Grote Zaal: white and pink paper lanterns, fabric panels and a green garland with lights hang beneath the dark oak rafters. On the right a grey-haired man in a light blue jacket sings into a microphone; in the middle of the wooden dance floor the bride and groom cheer along, he in a white jacket with one arm in the air, she in a white lace dress with a glass in her hand. Guests with glasses stand all around, a few raising their hands.

Party or drinks

A private room for small parties, or the hall for a big celebration.

The Hooikamer set up for a meeting: one long rough wooden table with notepads, pens, carafes of water and posies of wild flowers, dark blue armchairs on one side and a cognac leather bench on the other. Behind the table a large screen in an oak frame shows the name Het Ruiterhuys in white handwriting; to its left a wood-burning stove in a brick chimney breast with an antler skull above it, and from the ridge of the boarded tent roof an antler chandelier. On the right a steel-framed glass front cuts off the frame.

Meetings

Business on the edge of the dunes.

The pond full of water lilies in the summer sun, fringed by reeds, a weeping willow and a wooden fence. Still water, nobody about.

Farewell

Room for silence, togetherness and personal moments.
